The Humble Cart can be used inside or outside but must be placed in an area that is easily accessible and flat. We wheel the cart from our trailer to your location and so we must be able to access the area without any stairs. We recommend putting it in a cool, shady spot and we also have an umbrella if that isn’t possible. Once the cart is set up it must remain in place for the full duration of the event. For longer events the cart can be plugged in but it isn’t required for events under 4 hours.

We have Humble Coolers in a variety of sizes. They are all the Humble Cow teal color and are branded with our logo. We have large coolers similar to those you might own yourself that are great for taking scoops of ice cream on the go. We also have large coolers that are designed to be stationary and look great set up on a porch or deck. We also have smaller coolers that are easy to hang off your shoulder for a picnic or day at the beach. We will work with you to select the right cooler based on the number of scoops you need and the details of your event.

Most of our catering options allow up to 4 flavors of ice cream with the exception of the Humble Crocks. The crocks each hold a single flavor of ice cream that serves 50 people. You can order as many crocks as you like to add additional flavors.

For all of our catering options except the Humble Cart (where we bill you only for what we scoop) you pay for the ice cream scoops 1 week ahead of your event and so you own any leftovers. In the case of Humble Scoops and Humble Coolers, you can take any pre-scooped cups home with you. For Humble Crocks, you can transfer the inner bucket that the ice cream sits in into your own freezer to enjoy later. We ask that you return the bucket to the store when you finish eating the leftover ice cream.

The price per serving varies based upon which catering option you select. The Humble Cart is the most expensive option because you’re paying for the cart rental, pickup/delivery and staffing in addition to the ice cream. The unstaffed Humble Crocks on the other hand offer some of the lowest prices per serving. The price per serving is also greatly impacted by how many people you are serving. We’re happy to work with you to create a solution that will fit within your budget.

That depends. We secure dates as people request them. If you’re looking for a weekend in the summer you should probably plan pretty far out, but weekdays are easier to get last minute. It’s always worth checking, even if it is last minute because we also get cancellations.

For catering options that include a rental fee (Humble Cart, Humble Crocks and Humble Coolers) we require a deposit to secure your date. That deposit is fully refundable up until 30 days before your event date. After that date you will forfeit your deposit if you need to cancel. One week before your event we invoice you for the remaining charges (for the ice cream, cones, delivery, etc.).

If you chose to pick up Humble Coolers or Crocks from the store, then you are also responsible for returning them clean and in good shape. We ask that you return them within 48 hours of your event.

Yes, you can. When you fill out your interest form you’ll provide us with all of the information about your event. We’ll call you and work together to make sure everything is perfect and the timing is exactly the way you need it.

We are happy to deliver your cooler or crocks catering order. We will set it up and then return after the event to pick it up. We charge $2 per mile round trip. For example, if you are located 10 miles away from Humble Cow then the charge will be $2 x 20 miles or $40.

It depends on the option you select. The Humble Cart is cold when we drop it off and can also be plugged in for longer events. The Humble Crocks also arrive frozen and remain cold for up to 6 hours depending on the setting. For Humble Coolers, we’ll work with you to determine if you need ice packs or dry ice to keep your ice cream frozen until you’re ready to serve. For Humble Cups, it is up to you to keep them frozen.
